Summary:
The REMOURE project aims to investigate the feeding apparatus of various marine species that have a high microplankton capture efficiency, to replicate it and apply it to the removal of microplastics in wastewater treatment systems.

For this purpose, it will develop a sequential work methodology, in which:

1. Make a bibliographical research to identify the most appropriate organisms.
2. Analyze the morphology of these organisms and reproduce them using additive technology and 3D printing.
3. Build a hydrodynamic test bench and analyze the flow conditions.
4. Develop a CFD simulation model based on the results of the test bench, for the optimization of the filtration geometry.
5. Build a filtration pilot, where you evaluate the applicability of the resulting geometry for filtering microplastics in wastewater.
