Not bad for a country of 21,000 square kilometers and a population of over 6.5 million people.<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\">The Forest Inventory was presented on November 18, by the heads of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Lina Pohl and \u00c1ngel Ibarra, respectively, and by forest engineer, Constan Amurrio, a specialist of VIELCA &#8211; the Spanish firm that was in charge of the total sweep of the territory to prepare the document.<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\">The document was prepared with the aim of knowing the dasometric characteristics, that is, through the application of statistical methods to find solutions to problems associated with the existence, growth and management of forests.<\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\">Overall, the inventory highlights that the country has a total of 799,209 ha (37.9% of the country&#8217;s surface).
