Among them, it has been awarded a contract for the control and supervision of works on small irrigation systems on agricultural properties, an international project financed by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration with a total investment of $4.2 million.<\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\">The project is divided into two lots, Francisco Moraz\u00e1n and Comayagua, with completion times of 13 and 11 months, respectively. The works include the necessary facilities for the establishment of irrigation on agricultural properties through the installation of pipelines, open-air canals and pumping stations.<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\">The main objective is to help reduce extreme poverty in rural areas and improve the standard of living of beneficiary families by increasing income, generating employment and food security, promoting agricultural development with a focus on social inclusion and gender equity. Through the efficient use of resources and increased competitiveness, the project also seeks to reduce environmental impacts.<\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\">The implementation of these works will benefit more than 1,500 Honduran families, providing water for irrigation to an area of 1,250 hectares. The amount awarded for construction control and supervision is $260,000.<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\"><b>Presence in Central America<\/b><\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\">With permanent delegations in El Salvador and Nicaragua since 2012 and 2016, respectively, Vielca Ingenieros has been present in Central America for a long time. In recent years, it has carried out a wide range of work, ranging from project drafting and supervision of drinking water, sanitation and water purification works for various towns and rural communities, to projects for the construction of a church, hospitals, schools and judicial centres, as well as forest planning studies, forest inventory, cadastres, salt intrusion and aquifer studies, as well as the design of reservoirs, pipelines, roads and viaducts. During this time, he has also prepared the Environmental Impact Study for Ilopango Airport, and has supervised the repair works of the underground water pipeline in the Chilismuyo ravine, both actions in El Salvador.<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\">Located in the capital Tegucigalpa, the Honduran branch is made up of eight qualified professionals, as well as collaborators, local suppliers and other professionals. According to Vicente Candela, CEO of the Vielca Group, \u201cthe goal in Honduras is to maintain a stable delegation over time, providing technical expertise and added value, growing year by year as we have done in other countries in the region.\u201d In both Nicaragua and El Salvador, the company has grown in turnover over the past few years. In the first case, it went from $1.25 million in 2018 to $1.45 million last year, while in Nicaragua growth was higher, going from $321,000 to $815,000 in 2019.<\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\"><b>Leader in hydraulic engineering<\/b><\/div>\n<div> <\/div>\n<div class=\"texto\">The Vielca Group, made up of engineering, architecture, environmental, renewable energy and testing laboratory companies, has an important reputation in the field of hydraulic engineering.
